This is the complete workflow of our system.

What

What We Do

01

Provide real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, air quality, luminosity and so on through data transmission among multiple sensors, a cloud server and our designed web application.

Obtain photos through the camera embedded in the front door once infrared sensor catches a signal, send pictures to a cloud server and implement face recognition using Tensorflow and recognition API.

The program sends a message alert in case of any unwanted happens, such as unwanted break in, gas leak and other anomaly detection on sensor data.

Data we gathered through these sensors can give us vivid picture of real-time home condition on the Web by implementing data visualization.

Why

Why We Do

Gather real-time information about home condition without people intervention. It's convenient to know whether the indoor environment is excessively dry, whether the room has a high light intensity, whether there is gas leak in the kitchen and so on.

Get a vivid picture of overall home condition displayed on the designed web application. Every single aspects of indoor environment monitoring only shows limit knowledge of the current condition, but overall display can give us comprehensive evaluation of our home condition.

Face recognition: An approach to identify the users and avoid unfriendly break in. Currently most house merely provide fingerprint or password identification to determine users, the implementation of face recognition can offer greater security and convenience.
